Privacy Policy

For the Wandrr mobile app · Last updated 1 July 2026

Wandrr is built to keep your travel life on your device. We collect as little as possible, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. This policy explains exactly what the app handles and why.

1. Who we are

Wandrr (the "app") is provided by CloraTech ("we", "us", "our"), based in the United Kingdom. CloraTech is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at admin@cloratech.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies only to the Wandrr iPhone app and the data handled through it. It does not cover any third-party services you choose to use alongside the app, each of which has its own privacy practices.

3. What we collect, and why

Wandrr handles the following categories of data. We only use them to make the app work and improve, and never to track you across other companies' apps or sites.

Account information (Sign in with Apple)

When you sign in, Apple provides a unique account identifier and, if you allow it, your first name and email address. The email may be Apple's private relay address (ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com) rather than your real one; either way it counts as personal data and is treated as such under this policy. We use this to create and secure your account, to personalise your greeting in the app, and to identify your subscription (see section 6). We do not receive your Apple password.

Your trip content

Trips, itineraries, journal entries, budgets, packing lists, saved links, and any photos you attach are created by you inside the app. This content is stored on your device (see section 4).

Photos

If you attach photos to a journal entry, choose a trip cover, or scan a receipt, the app accesses the photos you select. Photos stay on your device and are not uploaded to us. When you view a trip's recap, the app may also read photos from your library taken during that trip's dates to show a few highlights and a photo count. As above, these photos stay on your device and are not uploaded to us.

Location

If you use the "Near Me" feature, the app uses your precise location at that moment to find restaurants, cafés, and places near you. Your location is used at runtime only and is not stored by us or linked to your identity.

Health & fitness data (Apple Health)

If you grant permission, Wandrr reads your step count and walking/running distance from Apple Health for the dates of a trip, solely to display them in your trip recap. This data is read on your device only — it is never uploaded to us, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings.

Purchase information

If you buy a Wandrr Pro subscription, our payments partner RevenueCat processes your purchase and entitlement status so we know whether your subscription is active. To identify your subscription record across your devices, we also send RevenueCat the email address and first name provided by Sign in with Apple (this may be your Apple private relay email). Apple handles the actual payment. We use this purchase history for app functionality and basic subscription analytics.

4. Data stored on your device

Your trips, journal, photos, budgets, and packing lists are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's on-device storage. We do not keep a copy of this content on our own servers. If your device backs up to iCloud, that backup is governed by Apple's terms, not ours. Deleting the app removes this on-device data.

5. On-device AI

Features like AI packing lists and trip ideas use Apple's on-device intelligence built into your iPhone. The prompts and suggestions are processed on the device. We do not send this content to our servers, and we do not use it to train any models.

6. Third-party services

Wandrr relies on a small number of trusted services to function:

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

7. Tracking and advertising

Wandrr does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, contains no third-party advertising trackers, and does not show ads. We do not use the App Tracking Transparency framework because we don't track you.

8. Retention and deletion

Trip content stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Account data tied to Sign in with Apple is kept while your account is active. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at admin@cloratech.com and we will action your request, including deleting your subscription record held by RevenueCat. You can also stop Apple from sharing your details at any time in your Apple ID settings.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because most of your content lives on your device, you can view, edit, and delete it directly in the app. For anything we hold (such as account or subscription records), contact us and we will respond in line with UK GDPR and applicable law. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

10. Children

Wandrr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
